Beginning in the mid-1980s, Hopivewat aimed to build a museum and resource facility centered on responsibly stewarding and managing our own Hopi cultural assets. HLC plans include shaping a repository for cultural materials, exhibition space, educational programming, and a library. Learn more about HLC’s history and future goals here.

The Hopivewat Resource and Learning Center embraces the values of the Hopi and Tewa communities, perpetuates and maintains the Hopi and Tewa culture using traditional values and principles.

Phoenix Indian School Visitors Center

The Hopivewat Learning Center is happy to share we will be screening the Covid Oral History Project at the Phoenix Indian School Visitors Center on Nov. 22nd & 23rd. The community project is a time capsule of events that speaks on Hopi resiliency during epidemics. The shared testimonies speak on history, wellness, medicine, and faith in Hopi.
